What's this....TWO posts in the same day?? Here's a drawing I've done over the past three nights, I'll call it Ferocious Twiglets for the hell of it. I've been reading the Horror Stories of R.E.Howard on and off for a while now, mainly before I go to bed. The other night I read a short tale about forest people, it wasn't a Solomon Kane story, but it sparked off a little idea for a drawing. There's a Solomon Kane film coming out soon and the little bits I've seen look pretty good...fingers crossed it will be a good one.

i'll third and fourth and fifth that.
i'm always impressed with these one-off pics you do, dave. but this is the monster bollocks - those creepy creatures, the tree, the composition, his long face, the mood, the lighting - ZOUNDS!!

I just wish you were illustrating the Dark Horse comic itself ... great stuff as always ...

hoo dave,
the solomon kane piece is lovely. captures the mood beautifully. the trailer is canny, but the word on the conan film is most depressing. I hope you're reading the Del Rey versions. Top notch stuff. Looking forward to seeing Madame Samurai too.

Cheers Shane, much appreciated. So do I Dave, so do I:) Yes, Jamie, let's hope it's a good one, there's certainly enough great material to make a few films eh?

Great piece Dave, and I agree Dark Horse should get you on a Kane story.

the new solomon kane comic was an incomprehensible mess top be honest. cluttered panels and impossible to follow. It looks like an illustrator was hired to do what a comic artist should have done.
