G'day all. Last weekend was the Winter Comics Festival in London, and what a weekend it was. The venue was packed with over 100 comics pro's, small pressers, art dealers with more comics related events than you could shake a stick at! And Jonathan Ross went to!

I sold a bucketload of Springheeld Jack no. 1, plus a load of ltd edition Sketchbooks (the first 20 have original drawings in them) I have six left, they are £6 each. The standard signed+numbered (80 only) are priced at £2.50. Please email hitchcock_99@yahoo.com if you would like one.

Also pages of WHITECHAPEL FREAK were shown IN COLOUR for the first time---it is soon to be printed in a square-bound format by Full Cirkle Publications--in association with Black Boar Press. The colour is really spectacular, by a really nice chap named Philippe Gaulier (who works at Jim Hensons studio no less, he's also worked on many computer games for Cryo, and currently working in films too---the guy is busy, oh and did I mention he's one talented @+=++OOOO)

WHITECHAPEL FREAK--the coloured edition is not to be missed, soon to be solicited in PREVIEWS, keep an eye out for it! And ORDER one--you won't be sorry.

Blogging off, for this week,

Dave

In 2004, Bristol will hold the 5th Annual Comics Festival. Every year artists produce work to create a deck of cards, for 2004 it will be a Top Trumps set. The artwork is then auctioned at a charity auction on the weekend with all proceeds going to Childline. This time I have produced a Hellboy (Mike Mignola's popular paranormal detective) picture which you can see by clicking on the link "Charity Hellboy Picture" on the left.

Look out for the BLACK BOAR PRESS table, I'm sharing with my pal Carl Critchlow THRUDmeister extraordinaire!

we'll see you there:) should be a good one!

Oookay..... now we are cooking on gas! Here goes, the past few months have been rather hectic, just finished off the art for SPRINGHEELED JACK two, and I will be starting on issue three in the next couple of weeks.

For all the U.S. fans who have read about SHJ, but can't find it----I must apologise, I was intending to solicit in the trade magazine PREVIEWS the same time as I launched issue one at the Bristol Comics Festival here in the UK. Whilst at the show I was approached by a fledling comics company who wanted to re-print ALL of my work and re-distribute on a wider circulation---This was fantastic news as my previous works have long since sold out (being a self-publisher the initial print runs were minimal).

To cut a long story short, I held off soliciting my initial printrun of SHJ, (even though I have boxes of them fresh from the printers) because I did'nt want to cause a clash with the other company's release of said product.

Anyhow it seems that this could be still some time away, as nothing has been set in stone at the time of this writing. However, I will endeveavour to keep you all informed on progress AND if you can't wait you COULD order direct from me, and I'll even scrawl my signature on it (sure to bump up the value by at least one whole cent at least). Just drop me an email at hitchcock_99@yahoo.com

see ya!
